Heeeyyy You Guys… Restored Hosts a Movie Night

15 10 2009

This weekend Restored is hosting a movie night featuring our favorite cult classic: The Goonies.Limited Restored Goonies Tee

We figured there was no better time than Halloween season to show a film about an eerie adventure, the search for buried treasure, spooky skeleton caves and beating the bad guys and to get together for some tricks and treats.

In this film, the Goonie kids are on an adventure to seek treasure and fortune that may save their town, their families and most importantly their friendships.

This courageous group of kids brought us to the idea that we should bring our Restored friends and family together to help save our favorite kids: the children of Haiti.

The United States Foundation for the Children of Haiti is one of the many non-profit organizations that Restored gives back to. USFCH provides financial, medical, and support to the needy children of Haiti.

These children grow up in one of the highest poverty stricken areas in the western hemisphere and with the funds donated, these children can have the fighting chance to live and grow in a healthy, safe and loving environment.

Come join us this Saturday, October 17th for some popcorn, candy, laughs, spooks and of course a little “Truffle Shuffle” and “Pinchers of Power” all to support the Children of Haiti.

Location: 222 W. Second Street

Time: 7-10pm

$7 at the door.

See our shirt go from the printing press to the stage….

7 10 2009

We had the joy to hang with our pal Paul Wright when he stopped in on their tour.
Paul saw one of our custom shirts and had to have one for himself.
It is always a joy to watch the band Rootdown.
Watch as our shirt makes it front and center….

Our Fall Line is alive!!!

28 09 2009

Announcing the arrival of our new line of clothing. We chose to present more ladies styles this season as there was a large request for them. Don’t worry guys, we made sure each design would be an excellent addition to your wardrobe too! Especially the black printed jacket. We debuted our line at an almost secret location in the downtown area where it made party goers feel as if they were stepping into a metropolis rooftop party. The evening was catered by Scrambles, the Veggie Quiche was delicious and as the evening cooled Bidwell Perk gave us all a great cup of Java.  Our models were all from the immediate area and some of them have been hard at work in building their portfolio. We felt privileged to work with all of them as they carried all the sweat and tear up and down the catwalk.

Designs: Most of this seasons tees continued in the vein of storytelling. It has become a trademark of RESTORED to have even the most simplest design work derive from the themes of life or nature that we all entangle with everyday. You will find these stories online and hope it becomes part of the decision made to purchase your Restored item.

One for One: At this event a shift in Restored Clothing was announced that many are finding favorable.  It has always been a goal of Restored to raise awareness first about the issues and charities it supports as well as financial and material support. Restored has made the adjustment of donating 10% of sales to 4 non-profits to a donation of a tangible support of a specific Tee. This Tee shirt will be given to one of 4 charities at the decision of the customer in hopes of meeting a material need or a tangible means of support by the message the Tees will carry.  This will mean that some of the previous charities supported by sales will continue to be supported through specific events the company will hold.  So in a way, Restored is expanding those it supports and continues to ask its fans to help direct that.

Design Contest: As of right now Restored is holding a Tee shirt design for this purpose of creating the “One for One” idea. If one is interested in submitting a design, you can find the details here.

Love, Restored… OUR next event….

13 09 2009

love Restored

Greetings,

In 5 days we will be gathering for Restored Clothing’s Fall Fashion Show.  We are working diligently to make this line fresh and only adding to the feel and look of our brand.

We wanted to make sure people knew why we decided to support the charity LOVE146

We were invited to a show in Ventura that first shared with us about this charity and thought we were going to be able to participate, however we have realized it isn’t possible for us to travel down to LA this Fall. We in turn felt compelled to support the cause we initially said yes to and saw our Fall show as the perfect opportunity.

Please take a minute to look at this video and then please consider joining us THIS FRIDAY (September 18th) at 7-10pm for our reveal!!

Catch us if you CAN…

4 09 2009

Hey there community.

If you are so lucky you should definetaly check out Joshua Fest this weekend up in Quincy Ca. It is back after a year hiatus. If you are fortunate to go you should also get a glimpse of the band Catch Us If You Can. They are a great pop band with so smooth melodies. They have recently spent time with us chatting it up and getting hear all about their plans. We love that they are always sporting the Beannie, no matter the heat outside. A true Testimony to a committed style.  If you want to catch one of their upcoming shows then become a bud at their myspace. We are so glad these guys are on board and look forward to supporting their talent.

Peace and love…

Strike a pose…

29 08 2009

Girls Practicing timingToday Restored Clothing and Elements Salon in Chico held model call-backs for upcoming fashion shows in fall. Thanks to the heat wave hitting California it was a hot morning. However the air wasn’t the only thing that heated up as the day went on. Some of the models were a little shaky a-top their platform heels at first, but after some practice they made it look like a cake walk.

Most this morning had never done any modeling at all, some bought their first pair of heels just for the event. Many of the girls brought their own music to walk to, and once they felt comfortable taking a walk in their own shoes they tore it up. When the guys had a turn to take a stroll down the runway they worked it and gave the girls a run for their money. With smoldering stares the guys brought the swagger once the nerves died down.

All of the crew watching was very impressed at the local talent. At today’s call backs we saw them walk the walk. But can they talk the talk? Can these guys and girls represent Restored Clothing Company and look good while doing it? We need these models to work the clothing and be able to talk about it.

They’ll have to prove themselves at our next event. Prove that they can strike a pose, and sell a product.

A broken heart balloon

28 08 2009

We are having an amazing time finding new ways to express the idea of Restored. This was our latest backdrop for our photo shoot.

Some have suggested we make a tee out of it, I am wondering what you think. Leave a comment and let us know!!!!

Hope Walks

23 07 2009
Stacy= Hope Walks

Stacy= Hope Walks

I had the pleasure to meet up with a new friend named Stacy. Stacy has won the battle for her life by being a survivor of Breast Cancer. I am getting the opportunity to print some walk shirts for her and two close friends for the  3 day walk in San Francisco in October. She will join others with their own unique stories and walk 60 miles because SHE CAN! I was very moved this morning to think of the many people who Stacy knows and the families and friends that live with the reality of Cancer everyday.  Talking with her helps me to realize I do not appreciate the gift of health enough.

I worry about so many trivial things that I often loose sight of the gifts that have been given to me by my Creator. I am so thankful Restored has the opportunity to support those like Stacy, who truly understand the meaning of the word Hope.  We are excited to outfit her team of supporters for this event that celebrates the gift of her life.
